5 Must-Have Tools for Effortlessly Optimizing Your LinkedIn Profile.

We know how important LinkedIn can be to an B2B marketing strategy but i am sure many of you find it time-consuming. Especially if you are a start up founder with many hats to wear in the day. This blog looks at 5 key tools that might be able to help you make posting easier and maximise what you can get from LinkedIn.

Please note non of these are paid for advertisements just our experience of using different tools to improve social media.

First lets look at tools to help you with your editorial plan

Scheduling tool like Buffer:

With a scheduling tool you can scheduling tool you can schedule a set of posts at once rather than have to do them on the days you want to the post to be seen. You can do this in LinkedIn itself but if you are posting to other social media platforms as well you might want to consider an external scheduling too like buffer.

Buffer is a social media management tool that supports LinkedIn as well as all other social media platforms. It allows you to schedule posts, track performance, and manage multiple LinkedIn accounts from a single platform. It's useful for maintaining a consistent posting schedule. There is a free and a paid version of this tool. The major difference is the number of posts you can schedule per month.

Please remember this doesn't mean you don't need to look at LinkedIn again. You will also need to look at your feed for posts you can comment or react to. These activities will allow you to be better connected and show your expertise in the field. This should take a lot less time if the posts themselves are scheduled

Remember to re use content from things like a company video or blog use them as a whole or in part to create different posts.

Canva:

Great for creating engaging images and videos. It is fairly intuitive to use and there are lots of "how to" videos on you tube. There is a free version and a paid version. The major difference is more options and the ability to create templates and a brand toolkit ensuring everything is always on brand with the paid version. More important, now LinkedIn only takes a thumbnail from a link you will need to create your own images. Why not take this opportunity to create some templates that add impact and a brand recognition. Check out our LinkedIn profile to see how we have used Canva in creating templates so we have consistency and easily recognisable images.

Chat GTP:

GPT is an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot that uses natural language processing to create humanlike conversational dialogue. The language model can respond to questions and compose various written content. We would recommend using tools like this to give you a start on your posts but, you need to edit them to ensure they have a personal touch and share your own relevant expertise. Tools like this can be great if you are looking to create lists. We used Chat GTP to create the headings in this blog then added our own experience of using them.

Now we have a consistent posting schedule with great images lets look at 2 other tools that can maximise the effectiveness of LinkedIn. First is

LinkedIn Sales Navigator:

This is an official tool by LinkedIn, designed specifically for sales professionals and marketers. It provides advanced search and lead generation capabilities, allowing you to find and connect with potential prospects more effectively. We have used this tool to great effect to find the right contacts to connect to that are a great fit for our business. This is a paid for function in LinkedIn and if fairly costly. You do get a free trial period so, make sure you have a planned use before signing up for the free time so you can really see if it's effective for you.

Crystal:

Crystal is a unique tool that uses AI to analyse LinkedIn profiles and provide insights into the communication style of your connections. It helps tailor your messaging to better resonate with your target audience. We have only recently discovered this tool so have limited experience in using it but have tested it on our founders profile and a couple of others. It gave very interesting insights which we think would really help in making an approach to a potential connection that is likely to be well received. Again there is a free period with 10 uses as well as paid versions of this software.
