Hi I am, Elizabeth Blake, Managing Director of Apple Orchard Marketing. I have worked in sales and marketing roles with increasing seniority over the last 30 years. I have worked for companies from multinationals to start ups.
My Story
At university I trained as a podiatrist. While I enjoyed the health care environment I didn't feel I was making enough of a difference so, I moved into a sales role in pharmaceuticals. I realised I loved having involvement in healthcare but in a commercial capacity. I moved into orthopaedics and quickly into marketing. This is where I am most happy. I have held roles including a marketing function ever since. These have been for large established companies launching new divisions and products and also start up companies as the first commercial hire so there was no brand, no marketing plan and no sales presentation!

So I know what it's like to be in a start up company with a great idea for a product, maybe you have even got some initial funding and started development, but you don't have any idea where marketing fits, or you need to raise some new funds and don't know where to start.
